About Us Overview
Who we are
Trebor® manufactures ultra-pure chemical pumps and liquid heating systems used in microelectronic device fabrication, high-grade chemical processing, and the bulk handling of critical fluids for semiconductor microelectronics, solar panels Photovoltaics, and flat panel display TFT/LCD, and markets where process purity and system reliability are of the utmost importance.
Trebor’s manufacturing headquarters is located in West Jordan - a suburb
of Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. This beautiful mountain setting serves as
an excellent transportation hub to our worldwide customers and provides
a well-educated workforce with a strong work ethic. We also maintain
sales and service offices in Germany and Singapore to support key
European and Asian markets.
Our unique combination of product and systems expertise combined with
outstanding product reliability and rapid innovation will shorten your
equipment development cycle and provide a superior total cost for your
next-generation platform.
History
A sometimes little known fact is that the name “Trebor” is the company
founder’s first name spelled backwards! Robert Orr began developing our
first PTFE air-operated diaphragm pump in the late 70’s. During visits
to rapidly emerging semiconductor fabs throughout the west, a common
manufacturing problem became evident — industrial pumps used to transfer
and circulate aggressive chemicals quickly corroded and risked
contaminating the process. Relying on his formal engineering background
and experience with fluoropolymers, Robert and a part-time engineering
student created the technical foundation for ultra-pure, corrosion-resistant pumps known throughout the world today. The rest, as they say,
is history.
A Trebor Fact: Trebor’s thin film on quartz electric resistive heating technology is ideal for your ultra high purity deionized water heating applications when process control, cleanliness, and system uptime are of the utmost importance.
More than pumps.
Trebor is often thought of as the Ultra-High Purity Pump Company.
Since the early 1980s, though, Trebor has also been producing the fastest responding DI water heaters in the industry.
Efficiency.
Traditional diaphragm pumps contain fluid in the head of the pump.
Trebor pumps work in reverse, containing the fluid in the center of the pump.
The result?
Trebor pumps are smaller, and diaphragms last longer.
Sustainability.
Copper process components used in semiconductor processes require quarantine and disposal after use.
Trebor is different – offering service for Trebor pumps in special copper-only rebuild centers in Asia, Europe, and the U.S.
Central location.
Trebor is located in Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States; one of the most beautiful places in the country.
Salt Lake City is also a convenient distribution point with its major airport hub and coast-to-coast freeways.
